Meet Your Trainer

I love nothing more than helping people to improve their health with a practical approach to exercise, good nutrition and weight management. My passion for exercise began at school and keeping fit and healthy has been a major part of my life ever since.

I spent 10 years as a police officer, where it was important for me to maintain a good level of fitness to cope with the mental and physical demands of the job. Away from work I also took pleasure in helping friends and colleagues with their exercise and nutrition.

Achieving my personal fitness goals, and experiencing the rollercoaster of emotions that goes with them, drove my passion further and I qualified as a Personal Trainer.  My main aim was to help other people change their lifestyle and achieve their own health and fitness goals.

I have helped hundreds of people improve their health and inspired them to exercise by using the practical and academic knowledge i’ve developed over the last 35 years.  My focus is being the motivational and supportive Personal Trainer i’d want to train me.

My Values

To educate, guide and support clients, empowering them to take control of their health.  This is done via one to one coaching sessions, designed to meet the individual needs of each client.  The sessions will provide clients with the skills to improve their health and fitness for the long term.

I believe that exercise and nutrition don’t need to be complicated to be effective and I employ a common sense approach.   I do not believe in fad diets or bootcamp style beastings, but programmes that are realistic and sustainable offering clients positive change for life.

All sessions will be treated with the strictest confidence along with any personal information given to me, which will only be used to develop an appropriate health and fitness programme. Honesty and trust are paramount between the trainer and client and goes both ways.  It may be necessary to liaise with health professionals but this will be done with full client consent.

  • Level 3 Personal Trainer & Level 2 Gym Instructor | Register of Exercise Professionals (REPS)
  • Level 3 Certificate in Exercise Referral | Active IQ
  • Level 3 Award in Adapting Exercise for Older Adults | Lifetime Awarding (LAO)
  • Level 2 Nutrition & Weight Management | Register of Exercise Professionals (REPS)
  • Level 2 Circuit Training | Register of Exercise Professionals (REPS)
